# Hector Diaz

> Hector Diaz is an author and the founder of Orbix Automation Solutions. He grew up in Puerto Rico, holds a Master's in Computer Science, and has more than 30 years in technology and automation, from mainframes to AI. He writes books that teach people, including kids ages 10 and up, to build real things with AI.

- Retired in 2019; founded Orbix Automation Solutions in 2020 after seeing AI as a tool that does real work.
- Teaches automation through AI Auto Base. Bilingual English and Spanish.
